SBMSA Volleyball

We’ve had terrific feedback on our 2023 pilot program, and we’ve decided to expand on this program for 2024! Last summer we focused solely on rising 7th graders seeking some experience/training before 7th grade middle school tryouts in the fall.

Here is what we are planning for 2024:

  • Expanded pilot program, open to 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls
  • Teams/Leagues formed by GRADE (not age)
  • Parent-coached
    • We are planning to supplement with professional training by current/former volleyball players (including coaches’ clinic)
  • Skills assessment and draft
  • Practices and games at SBISD middle schools

6th, 7th, & 8th Graders

This pilot program is for existing 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who want some experience/training before middle school tryouts next fall.

Registration Fee

$295 registration fee

(includes jersey)

Training

Parent coaches will schedule practices for their team. Additional technical skills/training sessions, run by current and former volleyball players, will also be available.

Commitment

We will be focusing on instruction and skills, with games played to provide experience. Most weeks will have 2 practices and 1 match. Some weeks may have 2 matches and only 1 practice.

REFUNDS: There are no refunds after the close of registration. If requested before the close of registration, you will receive a refund, less a $35 administration fee.
